How to Deactivate Facebook on mobile

To deactivate your Facebook account on mobile, follow these steps:

Launch the Facebook app on your mobile device and log in if you aren't already

Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the bottom-right corner (iOS) or top-right corner (Android) of the screen

Step # 2

Scroll down and tap Settings & privacy. Then, tap Settings.

Step # 3

Tap on Personal and Account Information. Then, select Account Ownership and Control.

Step # 4

Tap on Deactivation and Deletion.

Step # 5

Choose Deactivate Account and tap Continue to Account Deactivation

Step # 6

Facebook may ask you to enter your password and provide a reason for deactivating your account. After that, follow the prompts to complete the deactivation process

Step # 7

Once you've followed all the steps, your account will be deactivated. Your profile and most information will be hidden from others, but you can still use Messenger if you opted to keep it active during the deactivation process

Step # 8

Simply log back in with your email and password, and your account will be reactivated
