How to identify AI-generated images

Identifying AI-generated images can be challenging as they are becoming more sophisticated.

However, there are some telltale signs and techniques you can use to identify AI-generated images

AI-generated images often struggle with rendering realistic eyes and hands, resulting in asymmetry, extra fingers, or strange-looking eyes

AI-generated images might show unnatural lighting or texture mismatches, where shadows or reflections don’t align correctly.

Sometimes AI overcompensates and creates overly symmetrical or repetitive patterns that feel unnatural.

Faces and other elements may appear unnaturally smooth or blurry, especially in areas that should have more detailed textures (like hair or fabric)

Pay attention to body proportions, facial features, or any objects in the image that seem slightly off in size or alignment.

Use dedicated AI detection tools, like  1) Forensically,  2) AI or Not, 3) Hive Moderation,   5) SDXL Detector, 6) Illuminarty

A reverse image search using tools like Google Images or TinEye can help determine if the image is new or has been generated.

By combining these methods, you can increase your chances of detecting AI-generated images.
