"Distraction Control." feature helps users remove annoying elements on webpages like sign-in pop-ups, cookie preferences, and newsletter banners.
This feature lets users hide static content on a webpage, but it can't permanently hide ads or block random pop-up elements. Ads that are hidden will reappear when the page is refreshed.
Distraction Control is very useful for blocking annoying content, especially when reading articles or shopping online.
Currently, Distraction Control is available only to those running the fifth beta of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. It will be available to everyone with the public release of these operating systems.
Apart from Distraction Control, Safari is getting other improvements: such as Highlights Feature and Highlights Feature
Highlights Feature: lets you quickly view important information on a website. and Redesigned Reader Mode: shows summaries with a table of contents, making it easier to navigate and read articles.
With iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, Apple is also introducing several new AI-powered features designed to improve the overall user experience.
These updates are currently in beta and will be available to everyone soon.
