From mid-2025 onwards, Apple intends to release a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad. It will cost less than the current Magic Keyboard, which is designed for iPad Pro devices. Just the iPad Air and base iPad devices will be affected, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.

The new model Magic Keyboard for iPad Air and Pro will replace the Magic Keyboard Folio. The iPad Pro variant’s premium aluminum construction will likely be replaced with less costly silicone. In addition, it might feature a function row, something that the current iPad Magic Keyboards without Pro variants do not.

This step facilitates greater accessibility for all users of Apple’s iPad accessories. With fast access to frequently used features similar to laptops, a function row could increase productivity on the iPad.

If all goes according to plan, the Magic Keyboard should launch in the middle of 2025. Apple’s commitment to increasing the iPad’s versatility is demonstrated by this. That solidifies the iPad’s position in the tablet industry and moves it closer to becoming a strong tool for work and play.
